Meet Pedro, our newest arrival!

There are some additions to the family that arrive loudly, full of chaos and excitement. And then there are the ones that arrive quietly, standing tall in the sunshine from day one.

Meet Pedro the Palm Tree — our brand new addition, freshly planted at Villa Marron. Pedro may not need feeding, walking, or much attention at all really, but somehow he has already become part of the family. Suddenly, the villa feels just that little bit more Mediterranean, a little more relaxed, and a little more like home.

There is something about palm trees that instantly slows life down. Maybe it is the way they move in the breeze, or the fact they somehow make every coffee, glass of wine, or evening sunset feel like a holiday moment. Pedro now sits proudly in the garden, soaking up the Menorcan sunshine and no doubt preparing for many summers ahead.

Like any new arrival, he has already become the centre of attention. Everyone checks on him. Everyone comments on how he is looking. And naturally, everyone has an opinion on how much water he needs.

The funny thing is that planting a tree somehow makes a place feel more permanent. Villas are usually about holidays, suitcases, and short stays. But Pedro feels like a marker in time — something that will grow year after year alongside future memories. Family dinners outside. Lazy afternoons by the pool. Long warm evenings under the stars.

And hopefully, if all goes well, Pedro will still be standing there many years from now, much taller, much wiser, and probably featuring in thousands of holiday photos whether he likes it or not.

For now though, he is the new baby of the family. Slightly smaller than expected, already heavily admired, and settling beautifully into island life.

Welcome to the family, Pedro. 🌴
