I am always rather biased when it comes to talking about the best places in the world to travel for a relaxed break - where else better to go than Menorca with its stunning beaches, laid back culture, family-friendly resorts, and perfect climate after just a two and half hour plane journey? So it's edifying when Menorca regularly appears in 'top holiday destinations' lists, such as this one: https://www.forbes.com/sites/christopherelliott/2022/10/22/here-they-are-the-23-best-places-to-travel-in-2023/?sh=4118ec967b26

Cala'n Porter beach
"Menorca is often referred to as Majorca’s little brother. Menorca attracts far fewer visitors and is much quieter, yet offers 216 kilometers of coastline is home to over 75 unspoiled beaches. 'Visitors will find the island is filled with hidden swimming coves, called calas, many of which can only be reached by boat,' notes travel advisor Barbara Hammer. The island’s easygoing and uncrowded beaches make it ideal for families. There's plenty to do, including water skiing, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, snorkeling and even exploring the island's shipwrecks." Forbes Magazine, Oct 22
After a turbulent couple of years for travel, families will be choosing carefully where to spend what could be their first holiday overseas since lockdown. If what you are looking for is total, unadulterated relaxation in the sunshine in your own private villa mixed in with a local, vibrant town that has one of the most idyllic beaches on the island, I honestly can't think of a better place than Villa Marron.
