It was a relief to hear the Government's recent accouncement that British visitors to Menorca are no longer required to quarantine for 14 days on their return.

Now that this major obstacle has been removed, the major airlines are gearing up to provide services between the UK and Mahon from mid July, so we are very much looking forward to receiving guests at Villa Marron again.

A holiday in a detached villa with its own private pool has its obvious advantages to those wishing to socially distance as much as they can during the Covid-19 pandemic. I also want to share with you the extra measures we are putting in place to help protect our guests.

The villa is deep cleaned between each reservation. This means that the property is thoroughly cleaned throughout, then the whole villa is cleaned again using disinfectant. The pool is a completely sterile environment, being treated and cleaned at least weekly using all the required chemicals. We are also following the guidance that all villas should be 'decluttered'. This means the removal of decorative elements, textiles such as decorative cushions, carpets, rugs etc, bins (except in kitchens and bathrooms) and objects that need disinfection such as books, magazines and games.

The rules on masks:

Currently, the requirement is for everyone over the age of 6 to wear a mask in all public spaces. It is, however, not necessary to wear a face mask at the beach, at swimming pools, when playing sports or wind instruments or in the countryside. It is not necessary to wear a face mask whilst eating or drinking at a restaurant or bar.

Menorca is very much open for business and raring to go.

Villa Marron is ready to welcome you!
